Who We Are

LXDCC began in 2004 with just three classrooms and has grown substantially over the years. By 2008, we expanded to a second location to accommodate our thriving preschool program. Our Universal Prekindergarten Program (UPK), now known as Pre-K for All, launched in 2007, funded by the New York City Department of Education.

Our Mission

To provide a safe, culturally sensitive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that fosters each child's natural desire to explore, discover, create, and become a lifelong learner.

Free Pre-K for All

Our Pre-K program is designed to give your child a head start with engaging and developmentally appropriate activities. We create a nurturing environment where kids explore, learn, and grow through play, guided instruction, and social interaction. With a focus on early literacy, numeracy, and social skills, we prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten. Our experienced teachers provide personalized attention to support each child's unique needs and interests, ensuring a fun and enriching experience.

2 -Year-Old Program

Our 2-year-old program is crafted to support early development through interactive and playful learning experiences. At this stage, we focus on fostering curiosity, social skills, and motor development in a secure and stimulating environment. Activities are designed to enhance language acquisition, basic problem-solving, and emotional growth, all while encouraging exploration and creativity. Our caring and skilled educators offer individualized support to ensure each child’s needs are met, helping them build a strong foundation for future learning.

3-5 Year-Old Program

Our 3-5 year old program is designed to prepare children for school through a balanced approach to learning and play. We emphasize developing essential skills such as literacy, numeracy, and social interaction in a fun and engaging manner. Activities are tailored to support cognitive growth, problem-solving, and creativity, while also fostering independence and confidence. Our experienced teachers create a supportive environment that encourages curiosity and exploration, helping children build strong foundations for future academic and social success.

Summer Enrichment

Our Summer Enrichment program offers a dynamic blend of educational and recreational activities to keep children engaged and learning throughout the summer. Designed for all age groups, this program includes hands-on projects, creative arts, outdoor adventures, and themed exploration to spark curiosity and foster new skills. We provide a fun, safe environment where children can make new friends, explore their interests, and continue their learning journey in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
